Bottle from Transient. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Lots of rye in the nose with cacao nib, salted caramel and warming whiskey aromas. Good body with creamy dark chocolate, oak, whisky and light maple as it warms up. Rich and decadent beer, a touch sweet, but not anything absurd. Warming finish with spicy rye, cacao nib and whiskey.
