Pours clear, amber, no real head. Scent is intense (over the top) crystal malts. Taste is sharp, bitter, very intense crystal malts. White sugar, strong alcohol. Not too surprising, being 14 %

The best of all worlds, a White Pony quadrupel and bourbon barrel aging. Should be interesting at a minimum. This 33 cl bottle came by way of an appreciated Belgian beer seller. I have out my Teku glass this evening, time to proceed. The sight is a caramel brown liquid finished by an unusual, consistent, white-tan skim of fine bubbles. The nose is heavy with ripe dark fruit followed by grain and whiskey. And the taste is simply delightful, but then I do like quadrupels considerably. But this one is particularly nice. Raisins, sweet cherries, bourbon, multi-grain bread, malt, brown sugar, figs and yeast. Properly dense with a small bit of bitterness. Well done.
