Bottle: Amber coloured, hazy, small yellowish layer; bisquity and alcoholic nose with a distinctive hoppy tinge; full bodied, robust sweet-bitter flavour; warming, a bit brandy-like finish with a sweet-fruity and faint herbal hoppy influence. A bit alcoholic, but all in all a spicy, quite well quaffable Bock...........

(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a short, beige foamy head. Dusty, sweet malty, bready aroma, moderately toasted with present alcoholic, lighter caramel-like notes. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malty, toasty taste, light notes of caramel, a herbal touch; sweet malty, slightly alcoholic finish.

Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is flowery hops, caramel and malts. Flavour is rye, alcohol, malts. A lot of spices in the aftertaste. Wellbalanced, but quite boring.

Bottled. Hazy brown color, not much head. Bready, grainy, small white head. Alcoholic, malty, ryeish, not very dobbelbock-like, more malt liquer to me.

A hazy orange beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, combined with lesser notes of alcohol and metal. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and fruit - especially peach. I don’t find any traces of the alcohol in the flavor, nice.

Bottled. Dark golden with a small beige head. Lovely sweet malty aroma with hints of warming alcohol. Sweet, caramelly flavor with malt and, of course, alcohol. Maybe some apples too? Aromas is more interesting than the flavor IMO. Light sticky and fizzy on the palate. Nice winter warmer with sweetness, bitterness and alcohol in the finish. If the rating for appearance were to be given for the look of the bottle, and not for the look of the beer, it would be a 5. It’s a nice, brown, tall, slim bottle with swing-top corking and a typical German label. Looks really appealing. Let this be my first and last bottle-rating;-) Traded this and lots of other German bocks with MiP. Thanks a lot, I really enjoy those potent brews. (060106)
