Bottle from MoritzF, with my thanks. Dep dark brown color. Pure chocolate aroma. Malty sweet pure chocolate flavor. On the thin side, but aromatic and with loads of flavor.

Clear brown small yellow head. Sourish aroma. Malty flavor is malty, caramelly, nice enough.

Bottle. Chocolate malt aroma with light hint of hops. Hazy medium brown color with large head. Sweet dark chocolate and wood ash flavor with a lightly bitter grassy hops flavor. Decent body. A bit stout-like - nice.

Bottle 50cl.Alc. 5.5%. Clear dark amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, roasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090913]

cloudy brown, small smooth white head. aroma is roasted. mild, watery, ends caramelly sweet and roasted.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is dry breadish and roasted malty. Bitter and roasted malt flavoured. Light breadish and smooth lingering flavoured. Mild roasted and vague metallic note into the far finish.

Malziger Antrunk in richtigem Maße. Es folgt die Andeutung eines Röstmalztons, gleichzeitig wird ein wässriger Unterton ersichtlich. Dieser verschwindet schnell wieder, das Bier bleibt aber spürbar milder als im Antrunk. Eine leichte Fruchtnote tritt zum Abgang hin auf, wird aber anschließend vom aufkommenden Röstmalz überstimmt.
