First off, it's a blonde beer and I am not fond of blonde oktoberfests. I prefer the traditional reds. Vienna red is better yet. Anyway this does have a little bit of toast in the aroma and flavor but I don't know where that comes from. Malty and as I said a touch toasty with some sweet and a touch of bitter.

Not bad, a tad light in flavor, more of a festbier (even thought the label calls it a märzen). Crisp toast underlined by a little caramel, with hints of apple and lemon and a gentle floral finish. Decent pint.

Pour is a hazy almost lager like gold with a large white head. Aroma is some sweet grain with a little sweet bubblegum. Flavor is clean but very little of anything. A little sweet grain and very watery. More of a traditional marzen than a Americanized version but this offered very little.
