Das bernsteinfarbene Bier zeichnet sich durch seine feinen Röstaromen und seine Getreidenote aus. Der leichte Karamellgeschmack wird durch eine dezente Hopfenherbe und das weiche Brauwasser abgelöst.

(bottle) Clear, bright amber colour with a thick, light-beige coloured foamy head. Sweet toasty malty aroma with caramel, liquorice and subtle fruity elements. Sweet flavour, light bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Aromatic toasty malt-profile, accompanied by notes of caramel, honey and liquorice; rather slim, malt-accented sweet-bitter finish with a delicate hops-character. Pretty nice one, although it lacks a bit body (17.X.08).

bottle, Danke pivnizub! Clear amber-golden colour, large white head. Clean, medium-bodied with a solidy malty backgfround and shy but pleasant hoppy notes. A tiny touch of caramel is present, as well as some fruityness.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear brownish amber, dishwater-like head. Buttery nose with a wealth of boiled vegeatbles. Medium bodied with notes of ripe fruits and crystalized sugar. When it warms the vegetables wear off. Lightly appley finish with low bitterness.

Draught. Clear orange/amber colour. Small white head. Orange aroma. The flavour is nicely citric, with a bit of malt.

Bottle: Slightly hazy, amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head, slowly diminishing; honeyish-caramelly nose with a faint bitter touch; soft MF, mild bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; honeyish-malty finish with a light but distinctive bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent, good, but no gem, though.....

Im Wesentlichen muss ich Doppelbock zustimmen, meistens überwiegen die Malzaromen. Einzig die Bitterkeit kann ich nicht feststellen. Test vom 23.8.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,10,11,9,14,10 - 10,30

Nice composite aroma of cookiedough and bitter hops. Orange amber coloring with fine pearling bubbles and a rather low head. Somewhat unremarkable flavors: Light malt and a touch bittering hops in the finish. Nice fine fizzing mouthfeel indicates a long lagering period.
