I remember this one as a one time only brew with a strong, somewhat artificial flavor of oak casks, overpowering the light sweetness and maltiness. I very much doubt if the beer was lagered on real oak. Oak chips at best, probably.

45cl flip-top bottle, one of a celebratory series of 6 in 1997. The first wood-aged beer I ever had. Don't remember much, besides it being quite sweet, vanilla, brown, OK.

One of the monthly specials to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the type of bottle Grolsch regularly uses (beugel) back in 1997. Dark brown, though not completely dark. Tan head. Taste was OK, some oak vanilla, malty sweet flavour with just a bit of astringency. I remember it as the best of the 12, though it wasn’t the most popular (that was Kanon). As there weren’t too many oak cask (or more probably: wood chip) lagered beers around in the Netherlands back then, it was rather nice as an experiment. (from 450mL bottle -beugelfles of course-)
