Sour ale with passion fruit and guava.
For Volume 1, we started with a soft wheat base and fermented it with Sourvisiae yeast to keep it zippy, then cranked up the juice dial with guava and passion fruit, bringing bright citrus melodies and deep berry bass lines for days.

Big passion fruit and some unripe guava. Quite sour as the name promises. Hazy golden pour with ok head. Tart finish. This is actually a sour with fruit rather than just a smoothie, which is rare these days. Can.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very thin, super fast-dying pure white head. Aroma of passionfruit, guava, pineapple and papaya with almost an exclusively tropical fruit note with some dry malt and wheat notes with a light scent of yeast and flowers, but this really is all about the tropical fruits, in a good way. Light-bodied; Strong tropical fruit and tart, yet sweet fruit note with a light yeast and wheat bite with some flowers and grasses along with a dry pungent and tart flavour, but the frutiness is pungent in a good way with the passionfruit the strongest. Aftertaste shows some tart and floral yeastie, bretty and lactobilly notes, but the fruits are stronger with the passionfruit and guava notes remain strongest. Overall, a nice, dry, floral and esepcially fruity beer with a light profile, but tart and soured bite, especially at the beginning. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Marceller's Vintage Wines and Brews in Idaho Falls, Idaho on 04-August-2020 for US$4,90 sampled back on this side of the country on perhaps one of the last warm days of the year here in Washington on 11-November-2020, Veteran's Day 2020 - Thanks to all who served our fine country!
