Bottle from a small beer orientated shop which I happened to walk passed in Frankfurt en route from Naiv to my hotel. Pale golden in colour win a small white head. Aroma of sweet corn, lightly malted, light hop. Medium sweetness, no detectable bitterness. Light/medium body, sticky texture, quite light carbonation. Finish is smooth with a light caramel sweetness. A bette than average Pilsner.

330 ml bottle. Pours a light golden color with a moderate frothy white head. Nose is mostly light grain with a touch of noble hops. Flavor mirrors the nose. Some metallic spicy hops in finish. Wurzburger brews some outstanding beers including their wonderful Christmas Festbier, Julius Echter Weissbiers and Sympator Doppelbock. This pales in comparison.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit durchschnittler Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig herb, grasig, getreidig. Geschmack herb, grasig, minimaler würziger Abgang.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Clear golden. Aroma of grains, cardboard, a bit of cooked vegetables and a gaint hint of old noble hops. Sweetish flavor, stale, papery and grainy with a slightly bitter finish. Light-bodied. Seems too old.

Bottle from Wurzburg station drunk waiting for the train. Pale gold lasting white head. It’s a little nettle and ascetic on the hop. Lemon sharp. It’s ok quite ascetic though which reduces the drinkability.

Pours slightly hazed medium gold with a soapy white head. Scent is sweet grain, malt, bread, a little citrus. Taste is peppery bread, slightly herbal bitter. Very crisp and tingly....tasty.

Beautiful fluffy head on pour, and nice strong malty aroma. This is going to be good, right? Taste is weak and watery, unexpected as it smelled so good. Nothing is left on the palate either, so I makrked it down for that. I was posed for something great, and got just plain mediocre....
