This tap only beer was served in a Mass Steinkrug at the Kreuzberg Keller near Schnaid. A very busy open Biergarten in the middle of nowhere. Amazingly cheap and top quality Brotzeit. The beer is also top quality. Plenty of hops, malty as it should be and a very long hopbitter aftertaste. If my loocal would serve this as an everyday beer I would be a very happy drunkard.

(swing top bottle) Almost clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized and persistent foamy white head. Fresh herbal and slightly grassy hoppy aroma with a well-blended grainy malty touch. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, crispy on the tongue. Pale malt-character with traces of barnyard and soft grainy and citrus-fruity accents; dry and bitter finish with aromatic herbal and slightly citric hops. Clean and fresh Landbier-Pilsener. 14.XI.07

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus as well as lighter notes of malt and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Thanks omhper for sharing.

Bottle, 4.9% as Friedels Keller Kreuzberg Pils, bought at the brewery. Weak flowery aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Good stable chalk white head. The flavour has a touch of smoke, very faint, so probably not intentional. Gives the beer a bit of character, though. The usual malt, slightly rough bitterness.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of omhper. Comes as "Friedels Pils". Clear golden with a dense, white head leaving laces. Fresh and very flowery hops in the nose. Medium body with sweet malts and again very flowery hop accents before a fine and balancing bitterness. A well made Pils. 021108

Bottled (as Friedels Pils Naturtrüb brewed at Friedel-Keller, Kreuzberg). Lightly hazy golden, minimal head. Evident grassy nose. Very dry and crisp, spicy and firm. Powerfully hoppy, still the soft, crisp mouthfeel makes it really refreshing. Very bitter finish.
