A deep dark stout with a thin creamy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, light fruity esters, OK. On tap at Whole Foods Philadelphia Center.

Single can from Acme on South Street. Barely translucent dark brown color. Large rocky tan head. Roasted malt aroma. Flavor upfront is dark roast malt, coffee and a touch of smokiness. Soft and smooth on the palate, thanks to the oats. Rich and full-flavored. Easy drinking and satisfying.

Draught at the source: pours black with a dark beige head. Aroma is herbal and chocolatey. Taste is very classic English tasting. As Jow noted this has a sort of rootbeer note. Not bad.
