Brewed with 100% beechwood smoked malt from Weyermann malting in Bamberg, Germany, and 100% German grown Hallertau Mittlefru hops. We brew this beer using the same Franconian style, single decoction mash as our Burgenstrasse, gleaned from an 1865 brewing manual.

Wow. This is probably the best smoked beer I've had outside of Shlenkerla. Just a fantastic example of the style. Perfect body, loads of depth. World Class.
