Gan Bei (乾杯), or "dry cup," is the customary toast in Taiwanese culture. Revelers are expected to empty their glass as a show of respect to the person making the toast. Our Gan Bei – a refreshingly dry 5% abv Taiwanese-style rice lager – was naturally carbonated & gently hopped with a touch of Saaz. Unbelievably drinkable, this beer was brewed on Lunar New Year 2022 for High Side’s 4th anniversary. Inspired by friendship & celebrations, we dream of raising a glass in one of Taiwan’s bustling night markets.

Poured a clear yellow color with a small, white head. Aroma was light crisp malts, clean rice lager taste. Light grassy notes. Flavor was light grain, really smooth. At a DCBeer share.

Pint can thanks to hershiser2! 9/13/22. Hazy pale orange, thin white head, average retention. Aroma of floral hop, rice, bready malt. Taste is rice, lemon, pale malt. Crisp, simple, well balanced. Nice.
