This pours a hazy straw gold with a huge head of foam. Good head retention and there's some lacing.

The smell has some notes of wheat and some citrus. Light aroma for sure.

The taste is of wheat, a little bit of citrus, and an underlining sweetness that I don't find all that appealing. The mouthfeel is light but ok but overall, this is a very boring example of the style and not one I'd seek out again.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, deep golden colour with average, foamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fusty, wet strawy aroma, a grainy touch, a minimally sweet, wheaty touch. Taste is slightly dry, wheaty, fruity, some apple, a grassy hoppy touch. Ignoble.

Bottle. Hazy golden yellow color, white head. Aroma of grain and raw bread. Taste is grainy, yeasty. Plain.

Pours a pale yellow color with a medium, short lasting white head. Smell is very weak and undefined - that alone is enough to set off my alarms. Taste follows the smell. Very weak, very bland, incredibly empty. It feels like watered down lager. Only in the aftertaste there’s a hint of something that should resemble a wheat beer. Well, at least the label looks.... kinda nice? Maybe. Hm. Unfortunately, I don’t drink labels. They should’ve named this Erdinger Fail. Avoid.

Hát hogy is mondjam. Ezt a sört még arra a győzelemre tartogattam, amikor még Nadal-Federer rangadókat játszottunk a Bélával a marcalvárosi víztorony tövében azon a csúszos és műanyag pályán, ahol aztán a gyerek kiütötte saját maga alól a térdét... Na de mindegy is..., nem ez a lényeg. Hanem hogy miután megpattintottam, azt kívántam, bárcsak ne én nyertem volna azt a meccset. Pedig még emléxem mennyire izgatottan vártam, hogy csak úgy sörnyitó nélkül lecsavarjam a kupakját (akkoriban nem lehetett ám ilyesfajta söröket beszerezni így európa keleti végén). Úgy csodálkoztunk, mint amikor a rába moziba mentünk megnézni a space jam-et osztálytesókkal, aztán kiderült, hogy nem is az megy, hanem valami angol beteg c. egészestés unalom. Nagy csalódás volt. Ahogy ez a sör is. Erdingernek igen, de championnak nem nevezném. Nadal se lenne büszke rá az biztos. Ja igen, emléxem pedig még azt is megjátszottuk az üvegre írtak szerint, hogy nem öntöttük ki az egészet, hanem hagytunk egy kicsit az alján, hogy aztán jól felrázzuk, hogy az üveg aljára rakódott élesztőt is kicsalogassuk belőle. Na asszem itt csömörlőttem meg először a söröktől. x Update: egy fenyegető hangvételű jelzés alapján ki kell javítanom magam: Béla nem is kiütötte a térdét, hanem csak úgy kiugrott magától.

AROMA: faint wheat aroma mixed with somekind of initial DMS and some citric notes. very low to no esters and no hop aromas. APPEARANCE: pale straw and hazy. thin white head with very poor retention. TASTE: watered down wheat flavour without perceptible esters. low bitterness with a sweet finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a very poor and watered down weizen.
