A bad attempt to brew American Mega Swill for the tourists visiting Belize. A plus for it was that in San Pedro it was much tougher to find than the regular Belikin (which at least has some character). I read somewhere on the 'net that this was going to begin being imported to the U.S. They are bringing in the wrong beer.

Backlog June 2010. Golden body under a white head. Aroma is mostly cooked vegetables. Taste is weak, metallic and harsh. Thin body with unpleasant aftertaste. Not very successful.

Bottled (Thanks Stig Björkas!). Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is grainy, mild earth, some dusty notes as well as some metallic notes. Flavour is grainy, metallic and some slight grass and cardboard to it. Harsh.

Grainy aroma and flavor. Apple in the flavor. Some hops in the background. Cardboard. Dirty aftertaste, a bit creamy. The aroma is OK, the flavor sucks.

Bottles and bottles while on my honeymoon. Poured a clear amber color with a fizzy white head. Aaron’s was sweet malts, much more malty than the regular Belikin. Light corn, other adjuncts. It’s fine.

Clear deep golden color with a small white layer on top. Quite rich aroma in this one. Lots of dried fruits and toffee. Medium body and a soft carbonation. A bit sweet and a moderate bitterness. Oily texture. Lots of dried fruits and toffee in the flavor. A pity with the low carbonation level. Could have been nice this one.

Shared a six pack of this on the tender from Belize City to the cruise ship. Pours a standard pale straw yellow color with a bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of grainy malt a hint of corn and floral hops. Taste is pretty decent for a light lager. Sweet grainy malts with a hint of honey and floral hops. A hint of dms and a relatively dry finish. Medium carbonation, low to medium body, creamy/watery mouthfeel. Not a bad lager at all to drink down on a hot day. If I ever make it back to Belize I wouldn’t hesitate to tip a few of these back.

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Fusel alcohols, some dms, and notes of grains and fruits on the nose. After some time in the glass, it gets better, but it’s still pretty awful. Unfortunately the flavor isn’t much better, and it doesn’t improve after some time in the glass either. Grainy and fruit, withouth any bitterness, and with notes of solvent. Medium to thin on the palate, and hardly any finish to speak of. Almost like drinking water. It’s a good thing all the bad flavors in this beer don’t last. A beer that is next to horrific. Or maybe just plain and simple horrific. 100611
