Passion fruit and light green onion. Not a ton here. A little pineapple. Some peel. Orange pour with ok head. Hop tang finish with a touch of bitterness. Can.

Can, Kroger 29. Clear gold with a choppy off-white head. Orange peel, light melon, light tropical notes in the nose. Flavor is orange peel, floral hops, tropical fruit (slightly juicy), a bit of pine, and a hint of resin in there. Tasty... simple, but good.

Clear golden coloured body with no haziness at all, with a nice, relatively soapy tan head, about three centimetres tall. Aroma of grass, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, resin, pine and a touch of flowers without much malt ore alcohol noticeable -just the hops and citrus. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong, very grassy and herbal flavours at first with a dry and floral bite without any malt or body at all, that gives way to a citrus and grapefruity flavour that has a little bitterness, but not much else, aside from a touch of fruity sweetness. Aftertaste shows the dry and grassy flavours with a little resin, the faintest bit of alcohol and malt , but all of that ends with a larger dose of grapefruit and citrus notes without any complexity at all. Overall, a fairly mild and safe-drinking citrusey IPA (but not New England) that is fairly boring and uninspired, but not bad. Okay to sample, but not worth spending money on, in a land of IPAs. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 18-March-2020 for US$2,99 sampled on the same day at home in Washington on 18-March-2020.

Dry, grainy IPA, pulling off a bit of a bait-and-switch, what with the enormous fruit-heavy nose but packing the flavor profile of an old-school West Coast bitter bomb. Some citrus and stone fruit, but woody hops are prevalent, with mild lime zest and pepper on the pine-n-flora finish. Enjoyable, but never quite reaches the big, indulgent IPA layers you want.
