(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of jbrus. Hazy, amber golden with an off-white head. Very lively as it works itself out of the bottle. Fruity nose with some burned caramel and alcohol. Quite full-bodied, sweetish caramel and fruit. Almost no bitterness. But somehow a classical uninspired Dutch micro. 310807

Hazy amber color with orange hue. It would be a reasonable Ale (a bit fruity from the yeast, a bit sweet, regular body, a bit malty), if it was not for the strange Parmesan cheese touch.

Bottle. Weak fruity aroma. Cloudy red/brown colour, small head. Vinous, slightly dusty flavour. Quite sweet, I guess from the dates and figs. Quite bitter aftertaste. Nice.

Bottled (BBE 2005)
Hazy dark nut brown, firm brown head. Yeasty, fruity nose (plums). Very sweet, fruity. So sweet that hides alcohol well. Kind of sweetened imitation of Westy 12.

An unclear amber beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet - too sweet for me - with notes of carame, oranges, and raisinsl as well as hints of alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel and alcohol and the mouthfeel is sticky.

Cloudy orange brown color, medium head. Aroma is sweet malty, spicy, raisin, but also a bit flowery and hoppy. Sweet sour malty taste, candy sugar. Bit alcoholic finish maybe.

(Rather well aged) Dark amber, with burgundy shine. Slight yellow head, immediately dissipating. Nose of cookies, very sweet cake, a bit wet, with fruit. Fruitcake, in the nicest possible way, with a dash of Cherry Heering. Sweet taste, but nothing exaggerate. Fruity again, nearly oud bruin Flemish style, without the lactic acid component. Caramel malt. Again: a liquified fruitcake, cherry. I can even taste the cinnamon. Bit sticky, gummy mouthfeel. Short whoosh of alcoholburn and somewhat watery texture. Strange. This beer is at odds with what I normally prefer - but I do admire it. Sweet - but in a dignified way. A dear old sugar granddad. But he's still major shareholder at the bank.

Cloudy amber; heady, peppery aroma; smooth palate, marshmallowy malts, yeasty, drinkable, balanced. If I were a sumo wrestler, this could be my session brew.

Beatiful hazy orange-brown appearance. Vinuous and fruity with big nice toffee flavour. Sweet finish. An unusual flavourful and complex beer.
