Our first ever collab with our OG beer friends @tiltedbarnbrewery that is releasing at Proc!!!
Smoked Czech Dark Lager.
Pours with a nice tan foam and delivers aromas of bitter chocolate, light roast coffee, and a hint of campfire smoke. Even though it’s dark in appearance, this beer drinks light and crisp with gentle flavors of chocolate and smoke.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: dark brown in the glass with some ruby red hues along the sides of the glass with a three finher eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet smoke, dark chocolate, some milk chocolate, sweet earthy tones, honey and some earthy spices
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fair sweet to earthy spicy vibe initially then a light smoke guides these characters to one quality; finishes leaning into the earthy sweet & spicy tones and a slight smoky character
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also a little bit earthy grit scrape the tongue - mostly nonoffensive
Overall: though the smoke was mostly super faint, I still liked this beer and would welcome it again.

Canned 11/9/21, drunk 3/28/22. Dark mahogany, undetermined clarity (probably clear) with ruby-garnet highlights and a large, beige head that steadily fades to cover. More mineral than smoke, with light caramel, honey and just a hint of woodsmoke on the end. Soft and malty, dry, with bits of caramel, toffee, and light, chocolate-laden smoke that adds pepper and other phenolic-like notes to help balance the malt. Clean and extremely drinkable, with such a supple texture. Strong mineral character. So well-balanced.

Pours dark mahogany into a shaker. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet, earthy pumpernickel aromas. Soft with mild smoke and bacon upfront turning to earthy multigrain and pumpernickel in the lasting finish.
