There might not be a lager from our lineup more suited for this round of New England winter weather than this one here. We tend to make Quiet Fire, our Czech-Style Amber Lager (“Polotmavý”), just once a year with these winter days and nights in mind. It’s comforting and characterful (bready with a bit of spice) but leaves you craving that second half liter.

Canned 1/25/23, drunk 3/4/23. Clear, medium-amber. Small, beige head. Pepper, light toast, light toffee, mostly base malt. Clean and with light mineral and soft, succulent malt richness. So clean and lovely. Rich toffee, vanilla, caramel, pepper, mineral and herbs. Medium body with rich malts, well-attenuated. Clean, no alcohol.
