0,56 l bottle. Clear dark golden with a two finger white foamy head in the glass. Grainy smell with straw bitterness. Taste starts with grainy caramell, short hints of smoke. Increasing caramel, less bitterness. Easy drinking Festbier.

Deutschland Lokaltausch 1/2019, danke an Moravius. Süffiger, dunkel karamelliger Beginn. Weiche, später milder werdende Herbe, würzig getreidig, süßlicher Hopfen. Mittellanger, würzig süß-herber Nachgeschmack. 8/11/10/11/8/11

Malty, soapy aroma. Sweetish, malty flavor with just a bit of hops and banana. Full bodied. Tasted again 20.01.13: Bottle, blonde. Soft floral, slightly metallic aroma. Medium to full bodied. Bready, floral flavor with toffee flashes. Slightly buttery. Soft hopbitter finish. No reason to change the rating.

“Schönbrunner FichtelgebirgsBier Festbier“, Flasche (50 cl) vom Markgrafen-Getränkemarkt Bad Steben. - Dunkelgold, klar. - In der Nase breit-süßliches, mattes Karamelmalz, Anklänge an Nuß und süße Orangenmarmelade. - Antrunk würzig karamelmalzig mit leichter Fruchtigkeit und vager krautiger Herbe. Für ein Festbier etwas zu blaß, auch schwach muffig. Durchschnittlich rezent. Im Abgang zu blasse, etwas holzige Herbe. Streng bitterer Nachtrunk. - Ein Festbier ohne Tiefgang und Pep.
