Brauereifrisch und kühl serviert entfaltet dieses Schwarzbier sein unverkennbares Aroma. SCHUSSENRIEDER lässt mit seinem Schwarzbier eine alte Tradition wieder aufleben. Mit seiner tiefdunklen Farbe und der hellen Schaumkrone stellt es ein ganz besonderes Schmankerl dar. Sein kräftiges Malzaroma macht dieses Bier zu einer Spezialität, wie aus der guten alten Zeit.

Dark brown colored, small to medium beige not very lasting head. Aroma is caramel, some nuts, roasted malt. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, malt, some nuttiness, some toasted malt, bit of bread. Light bitterness, sweet finish. Low to medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

Keg at the brewpub, 07/02/15. Dark chestnut brown with a decent light beiege covering. Nose is toffee, light malt strokes, bitter notes. Taste comprises caramel, brown bread, dark fruit rinds, dark malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair.

Bottle from European local swap. Thanks Beerhunter111! Brown colour, thin head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel and liquorice. Light sweet, light bitter finish. Very easy drinkable. Decent.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, erdig, leicht süß, schokoladig. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, trocken, leicht schokoladig.

Sampled from bottle @ Cafe Vingerhoeds, Oirschot. Clear deep dark mahogany red color, medium to full sized white head. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, lightly earthy. Taste malts, roasted malts, lightly earthy, a slight touch of sweetness is hard to detect hidden behind the aforementioned flavors but it is there. Quite nice.

50cl swing top bottle, from the Trinkgut in Lippstadt, pours with a clear brown body that supports a tan to lightly gray head of foam. The aroma offers up modestly roasted malts, a light metallic note and some snippets of sweet dark fruity esters. The taste is similar where mild roasted malts slide into larger notes of prunes and figs. Decent enough.
