To at Whole Foods. Pours clear mahogany with small ivory head that retains only as a ring of small bubbles. Rich Caramel, dark fruit and bready aroma. Flavor is rich malt and bread. Viscous mouthfeel that is thinner than expected in the finish. Sweetness lingers long. Alcohol burn is faint.

2nd to tick, but did the entering! Bottle from the brewery. Pours clear, dark mahogany with a slight tan head. Aroma of toffee, whiskey and a few other things hard to parse out. Full bodied. Quite clean. Flavor is the aroma plus some wood, and, dare I say, rye. Rye? Not dry, but not sticky. Not exactly bitter, certainly there's an equivalent. Great ale.
