Alles, was man von einem perfekten Alt Bier erwartet wird erfüllt! Unser Traugott Simon Alt ist geschmacklich hervorragend und sehr ausgewogen. Die gesamte Klaviatur des Alt Geschmacks ist in diesem Bier enthalten. Man empfindet eine verhaltene Süße, die aber sofort wieder verschwindet und einer feinen Hopfennote Platz macht. Im Nachgang ist es ausgesprochen harmonisch und mild.

Bottled@Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere. Clear amber colour with small creamy off-white/beigeish head. Aroma is bready and caramelly malty, with some slight toasted and wooden notes as well. Flavour is sweet malts along with wood and some slight herbal notes. Ends in a quite grassy way (for an Altbier). Quite fullpalated.

Bottle 33cl.Clear medium grey amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, roasted, soap - soap flakes (not perfumed soap). Flavor is moderate sweet and soapy with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20091015]

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Clear orangey brown with a small, rough, off-white head. A little roasted malt and burned caramel in the nose. Medium body, dry roasted malts and a little burned caramel. Dry and bitter finish. 090209

33 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Dry malty and slight hoppy aroma. Medium sweet caramel malt and breadish flavoured with a subdued bitterness coming through.

Metallerner Geruch. Das Alt ist recht malzbetont und kommt teilweise gar nicht wie ein solches rüber. Der süße Unterton ist nicht zu verkennen, dieser wird im Nachgeschmack allerdings säuerlich. Auch sonst kann der Nachgeschmack nicht punkten und ist somit das Schlechteste an dem Bier. Recht mild, teilweise langweilig, es fehlt die Spritzigkeit. Lieber ein schönes Schlüssel Alt anstatt des billigen Traugott Simons. Nachtrag: Das Bier scheint von Schluck zu Schluck wässriger zu werden. Bottle: Amber coloured, mid-sized, stable off-white head; faint illusions of toasted malt in the slightly fruity and bitter aroma; delicate bittere-sweet flavour, very light-bodied; almost lingering bitter, a bit metallic finish. Better than expected, drinkable at least...................

(bottle) Dark amber colour with a medium frothy off-white head. Light malty aroma, even a bit skunky with hints of glue. A light to medium bodied malty mouthfeel, low carbonated and a dry and bitter aftertaste. Not very good.
