500ml bottle, drank on 6th May 2017, 7 days before it’s BBD. Looked and had the aroma of an Alt but it seemed thin and too sweet throughout for me. Did not enjoy it.

Bottle @ home. Clear red-brown color, full sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, a soft malt-based bitterness with a hint of caramel supporting it somehow. Slight hints of toasted malts. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad.

Dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Karamell, bitter. Geschmack röstmalzig, leicht schokoladig, würzig bitterer Abgang.

Slightly metallic aroma. Flavour has some caramel, malts. Not very flavoursome but in no way offensive.

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Aroma has notes of toasted malt and a minimally smoky touch. Taste is dry, some toasted malt, a touch of smoke. Better than expected.

Clear amber pour with small white head. Sweet malty nose is prevalent in the flavor as well.

Metallerner Geruch. Das Alt ist recht malzbetont und kommt teilweise gar nicht wie ein solches rüber. Der süße Unterton ist nicht zu verkennen, dieser wird im Nachgeschmack allerdings säuerlich. Auch sonst kann der Nachgeschmack nicht punkten und ist somit das Schlechteste an dem Bier. Recht mild, teilweise langweilig, es fehlt die Spritzigkeit. Lieber ein schönes Schlüssel Alt anstatt des billigen Traugott Simons. Nachtrag: Das Bier scheint von Schluck zu Schluck wässriger zu werden. Bottle: poured a clear brown with a white bubble head. Aroma is sweet leaf. Taste is a sweet malt and corn, a very wet watery feel.

Bottle. Sweet caramel malt and light grass aroma. Clear chestnut color with small head. Sweet sugary caramel malt and moderately bitter grass hops flavor. Medium body - pretty mediocre.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as a touch of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a lightly bitter and strawy finish.
