"Altes Wolfshöher", ein "Dunkles Spezialbier", Flasche von der Bierothek Fürth, 23.10.2025. - Dunkles Kastanienrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase tiefes dunkles Malz, leise und noch angenehme Kellernote, solide hopfenwürzige Hopfung. - Antrunk schlank und trocken dunkelmalzig, für ein Dunkles wenig schmeichelnd, auch kaum süß, dennoch auf seine Weise überzeugend. Nicht zu knappe fränkisch-herbale Hopfung, feine Zitrusfrucht. Milder rezent. Im Abgang gut malzbitter und fein hopfenherb. - Mal kein banales, süßes Dunkles sondern eins das mit trockener Malzigkeit und gut darauf abgestimmter herbaler Hopfung sehr kernig wirkt und doch süffig bleibt. Probierenswert!

Malty aroma with leak. Barnyard smell. Malty taste with licorice and coffee. A bit thin. Hopbitter finish. Bottle, tasted in june 2008. Dark brown color. Malty bready flavor with caramel, a hint of chocolate and some flowery hops. Tasty but not very aromatic.

Rated 2009 with 5.5% according to the bottle. Kastanienbraune Farbe, süßlich malziger Geruch. Der Antrunk ist vollmundig-malzig, könnte aber etwas intensiver sein. Der Hauptteil intensiviert sich etwas, angenehm trocken-malzige Note mit leicht süßlicher Malznote. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang und angenehm malzig-herb.

On tap. Clear amber body, white head. Aroma of bread, toast and floral hops with a minimal cabbage. Taste of toast, roasted malts and floral hops. The finish is quite bitter. Easy drinking beer. Nice one.

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Caramel malty aroma with a nuttily touch and hits of husk. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty with a nuttily touch, slightly dry overtones, transforming to minimally metallic in the finish.
