Winner of a Gold Medal at the 2020 U.S. Open Beer Championship and a Bronze Medal at the 2020 Great American Beer Festival, this big and malty German-style Doppelbock Lager was boiled extra-long, giving it a beautiful color and smooth caramel finish. You'll be surprised how smooth this goes down even at 8% ABV. Originally made by monks in Munich, the doppelbock beer style is very food-friendly and rich in melanoidins reminiscent of toasted bread.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark mahogany with a decent creamy tan head. Aroma of med roast malt with some dark fruit. Med body. Flavor is the aroma - there is a slight sweetness on the sip, and there's some countering bitterness in the finish. Very nice.
