We got together with the awesome crew out of Knoxville, Xul Beer Company, and brewed a luxurious DIPA. For this beer we decided to switch a few things up. First, we put a little bit of flaked rye in the grist bill, to help add to the body and accentuate the earthy notes from the hop combo. Speaking of which, a Citra dip hop got the party started, then we threw in some Citra Spectrum. To round it all out a dry hop of Citra, Nelson, and Strata was used to create bright aromatics of pineapple, white gummy bears, and lychee. The flavor follows, with added notes of sweetened red grapefruit and tangerine, accompanied by a restrained bitterness to help create balance. We had a great time getting together with Xul and we can’t wait to share this.

Can from Kihoskh. Hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, orange and light hoppy - earthy. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 200723

Sampled at the roost. Hazy orange. Melon and mango. Pulp. Papaya. A little thin and a touch saccharine. Doesn't end well.
