Deutlicher Kaffeegeruch. Weicher, schokoladig malziger Beginn, viel Kafee, zunehmend Süß. Unterstützende Vanillenoten gefallen, cremig, unterdurchschnittlich karbonisiert, was das Bier süffiger macht. Cremig, voluminös, süffig. Leicht alkoholisch zum Ende, gefällt. 11/11/12/11/8/11

Can @ Øllets Dag 2024, Sønderborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of cake and roast and mild smoky touches. Roasty flavour of coffee and hops, with notes of lactose and malt, and touches of smoke. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with cakey touches. Warming alcohol presence. Decent.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is dark coffee, almost chili tones with some slight liquorice and alcohol. Flavour is dark coffee, some chocolate, liquorice, alcohol and some mild vanilla. The coffee gives some chili elements in the flavour too.

Draught at Ølbiksen. Good dark chocolate aroma, nice and mildly jammy. Black colour. Small creamy light brown head. The flavour is quite sweet. Very sweet, actually. Marmalade, dark fruits and a lot of sugar. Only a little alcohol flavour to balance in spite of the high ABV. Creamy and oily mouthfeel with a low carbonation. Good but too sweet, even for me.

Draught @ Bootleggers, Odense. Pours Black with a small head. Mocha, roast and caramel. Soft and smooth. Dry finish. One sided but Well done though.

440ml can from the brewery. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, light coffee. The flavour is strong sweet, with a rich, slightly oily, roasty, boozy alcohol, sweet vanilla palate. Over medium bodied with lively initial carbonation. Really didn’t get the coffee at all. This was a fizzy, relatively light sugar bomb. Not impressed.
