We used massive amounts of robusta coffee beans – known for their full-bodied and distinctive earthy flavour – in our very bourbon-forward imperial stout base which had spent 14 months in oak. The result is smooth and staightforward yet refined and complex.

During MBCC 2023 Saturday afternoon session with Matt, Brian, Ryan, Phill, Erik, along with superhelpful, funny, and sarcastic Rachel, hehe. Appearance: dark brown. Aroma: roasty, some chocolate, bourbon. Taste: along the same lines, nice barrel. Overall: good one.

Bottled 375ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with hrabren. Pitch black coloured, minimal brownish head that went away fast, chocolate and alcohol in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol, notes of vanilla and bourbon with again alcohol in the finish.

0.375 l bottle shared with Ogi at Goblet Beer Store Zagreb. Oily black. Minimal head. Intense roasty, chocolate liqueur, dark chocolate, some dates or dried figs. Alcohol. Sweet dried fruit, warming, a touch of tart ripe fruit. Full body, a touch of coffee in the finish. Strong.
