22oz bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice sweet chocolate roast malts the Sherry Barrel gives some wine or berry notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate roast malts nice barrel notes some fruit. Wow this one was a banger.

Sweet dark roasted malt with lots of chocolate, caramel and toffee, fudge, sherry infused lingering malty finish. Copenhagen (Denmark). 04/05/2023 [#6.137 Global - #944 United States of America - #15 Modern Times Beer] Pours pitch black with almost no head. Aroma: lots of sherry barrels, dark chocolate traces and nuts. Taste: loaded with sherry barrels, vinous, nuts and dark chocolate. Full bodied and aggresive alcohol. Next one please!

On tap at Modern Times - Point Loma, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals a real nice sherry barrel character upfront, with loads of dark sugars and subdued dark fruits. Flavour is decadent and elegant, with an impressive amount of sherry barrel character without being boozy at all, along with supporting dark sugars and a hint of cocoa. You wouldn't think the sherry could be so harmonious in such a beer, but it is. Elegant, rich, smooth… all the good things. Beauty.
