We've put Big Phil through his paces with an intense science lesson on how best to unlock bound thiols. Using a handful of the most innovative products on the market, our second DIPA has huge aromas of lime, passionfruit and mango that explode out of the glass. Subtle savoury notes from Riwaka and an ever so slight bitterness keeps Phil in check making him a highly drinkable double IPA.

Named after one of our most loyal fans, mad hop head and overall legend we hope you enjoy Big Phil as much as we do!

Hops: Citra, Motueka, Riwaka T90, Mega Motueka (w Phantasm), Citra Incognito,

Keg at The Taps@GX, Gerrards Cross, Bucks. A hazy golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, orange, grapefruit, mango, peach, tropical fruit taste and aroma. Really nice DIPA, so good I had 3 half pints of it.

440ml can. Murky yellow, white head. Aroma of gooseberry, grapefruit, lime, dank notes and a hint of something savoury. Taste is slightly sweet, creamy, tropical fruits, zesty lime and grapefruit, gooseberry, dank, slightly earthy and savoury notes and a light bitterness. Decent body and very creamy. Superb DIPA just a shame about the use of Riwaka hops. Still struggling to see why brewers love those earthy savoury flavours so much.

Can at home, thanks to James, 22/07/23. Hazed orange with a just off white cap that clears edgewards. Nose is pissy citric shreds, pine resin, gooseberries, dank strokes, grapefruit. Taste comprises stoned fruits, dank tones, hop spice, gooseberries, papaya, pine resin, ripe tropical fruit esters. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with danko come resinous hop bitterness. Solid punchy DIPA.
