Cask at the Argyll Arms, Nicholson’s - London. Pours clear ruby with a fine, foamy beige head. The aroma holds brown bread, stewed berries and wintery spices. Medium seeet flavor with toasty bread, earthy bitterness, mild caramel, dried berris, nutmeg. Medium bodied withfine carbonation. Toasty sugar finish, more bready malts, fruitcake, apple, plum, fig, nutmeg, cinnamon. Not bad.

Lite humle. Meget velsmakende.

Deep brown with a frothy dark tan head. Aroma is caramel and dark fruits....date and prune. Taste is darkly fruited, raisinn, prune, dates.... Sweet, but dark and roast/burnt bitter. Spiced...ginger...dunkel-ish. Very different and good.

Very dark ale with a small red glow, no head. It has a very sweet aroma, but not as sweet in its taste. Medium bodied.

50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 08.04.2009
Aroma is somewhat spicy with ripe fruits, some malty notes and toffee. Flavour is a bit off with spices, some toffee and licorice. Dryish finish with more spices, ginger and coffee. Unique.

Definitely different. Hints of Belgian ales here, mixed with the tradiitonal British ale. Dark and mildly spicy (peaty?), also hint of German dunkel. Coffee brown with thin beige head, mild carbonation. Looking for something different, this is the one....
