From old tasting notes. Mahogany reddish brown color topped by a bubbly beige head. Spicy aromatic malt nose is redolent of molasses. Delicious spicy malt flavor hints at cloves and licorice. After swallowing this brew, me feels warm and mellow. Very unique and interesting.

Clear deep red beer with a beige head. Malty scent. Flavour is mostly malty fruit, maybe apple, and then a sourness I can’t place. Not overpowering though. It’s a hearty, drinkable beer.

A long overdue rate, this was a transition beer for me in to the craft beer world 10 years ago. Hazy dark amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, mild cinnamon, light floralness. Dry finish. Nicely joined up for a spice beer and pretty drinkable.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 26.01.15. Dark brown. Beige head. Spicy and herbal aroma, with ginger and cloves. Similar taste. Well-balanced bitterness. Could have passed as a yuletide beer.
