An imperious stout born deep inside the burning abyss. Complex roasted malts collide in this meeting of dark Sussex minds.
Brewed in the ABYSS with Mark Tranter from Burning Sky Brewery. We selected a complex range of dark chocolate malts, Munich, Maris Otter, Cara and hopped with Chinook in the boil. It’s dark, it’s imperious, it's delicious.

Draft at the Abyss brewery. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, caramel and alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, dry, earthy, red berry fruit, warm, boozy alcohol bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

440ml can. Pours pitch black with a big tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roast malts. Taste is rich and malty, dark chocolate, coffee, roast malts, molasses, bit of piney hops, big lingering bitter finish with a little alcohol warmth. Full bodied, smooth. This is an outstanding no nonsense impy stout.
