30 August 2025. At 7de Bier van Olier (Sijsele). Cheers to Anke, mom & dad!

Hazy black, stable, foamy, beige head. Tobacco, cocoa bean, coffee, charred wood, liquorice. Sweetish brambleberry, bitter coffee, smoky tobacco. Earthy hops & tobacco in the finish. Creamy texture. Quite a robust Porter with smoky elements, all well balanced.

Almost black with thin head. Aroma of toasted dark malt and cocoa powder. Can really taste the piney, forest floor smoked beech. Great combination with bittersweet dark malt. Fine carbonation. Slightly oily texture.

Draught Small off-white to cream head; almost black beer. Roasted grains, very light smoke, bit whisky-ish, ends with some ashes. Smoked, ashey, roasted flavours, quite well-integrated. Quite a bit of restsugars, malty OTOH. Cacao warming up, dark grapes. Medium bodied, quite slick, good carbonation. Quite good. Don't expect Bamberger Rauch specifications, but as a mild smoked porter, quite rewarding.
