Bottled. Deep gold, with next to no head and slight carbonation. Full bodied, predominantly malty, with a touch of summer fruit and hay, leading to a gently bitter finish. Fine.

Bright copper. Thick head. Malty, with a slightly caramelly nose. Firm, malty palate, again with a caramel accent, maybe turning a bit too much to butter as it warms.

Bottle, 5.3% bought at the brewery. Clear dark amber colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour is mild, has some dark malts, hint of crystal malts and paper. A bit weak. 5 3 5 3 10

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Reddish golden, average head. Light aroma of butter and roasty malt. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel, notes of caramel and apples. Low bitterness. Not the most exciting Franconian beer ever. (5/3/6/2/10 = 2.6)
Re-rate draught at the brewpub. Clear amber, rich firm head. Roasty perfumy and cellary. Medium bodied aromatic and fresh. Soft and pleasant with grassy bitter finish. Amazing how serving it from barrel lifted the character!

Bottled. A nut brown beer, very dark for the style, with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty, leading to a slightly bitter finish. OK, but a bit boring.
