"Black Mamba", ein "Schwarzbier mit viel Kalthopfung und dem Biß im Abgang", vom Faß im Biergarten des Eschenbräu im Wedding. - Trübes Schwarzbraun, reichlich dunkelbeigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase füllig warmes dunkles Malz, Karamelzucker und massive, exotisch zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk schlank dunkelmalzig mit feinen Röstaromen, vor allem aber mit intensiver zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung, satter Pampelmuse und Gras. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang kernige zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe und leise Röstmalzbittere, zarte Asche. - Intensiv und knackig gehopftes, dennoch rundes Schwarzes, dessen Röstaromen angesichts der massiven Hopfung nur am Rande mitspielen. Ungewohnt aber sehr gut! (28.10.2022.)

From tap. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Breadish. Roasted, herbal. Bitter and hoppy. Dry and bitter far finish.

Mar ’15. On tap at the brewpub. Poured a bit hazy and surprisingly a copper body with a smaller head. Pleasant hoppy and malty aroma, caramel and other toasted scents, including some harsher ones like latte. Flavor was lightly bitter, although mostly malty - coffee, caramel, nuts and dark dried fruits. Slightly too yeasty on a moment but quite nice whatsoever. Medium bodied with pleasantly long finish, where herbal hops got more intense. An easy going, light lager. Enjoyable.

Tap @ Brewpub. Pours dark brown with a creamy head. Roast, nuts, fruit and coffee. Roasted bitter and hoppy finish.

Draught. Dark brownish black with a tan head. Chocolate caramel aroma. Flavour is powdery chocolate, caramelised sweet, slight roast on a dry hop finish. Velvety texture.
