Bottle at Appellation. Pours clear brown, nose is raisins, caramel, taste is rich, malty, fruity.

Bottle at tasting. Pours clear red-brown, off-white head. Aromas of caramel, red fruit, light spicy yeast tingle. Tate is more of the same. Solid, if not that exciting.

Bottle from Craft Brew & Co. Hazy brown-amber pour with thin head. Aroma is like burnt boozy root beer - but not all bad. Taste is similar - but with a warm spicy orange citrus too. Autumnal and Belgian-y, but not as raisiny as I remember. Boozy but the smoothness belies the 9.4% alcohol. Actually better than I remember - still not my favorite style but a good example of it.

Draft - Dark sugar and raisin with some dark fruit, clear copper with a nice beige head. Raisin, plum, dark sugars and a sweet boozy finish. Nice, especially for American made.

Enjoyed from bombers and 12oz bottles. Shiny brown. Nice example of a Belgian strong ale that is not too strong and nothing outstanding or complex but is pretty good.

I poured this into a chalice.
The appearance was a nice golden orange to brown color with a nice one finger white foamy head that died at a decent pace and ended up leaving a decent sticky lacing in rings.
The smell was a nice sweet yet an inviting somewhat Belgian spiciness of sorts invading my nose.
The taste is sweet and spicy with an inviting yeasty breadiness surrounding the flavors. There is a nice sweet yeasty aftertaste with an iviting dry spicy sweet finish.
On the palate, this one delicately sits about a medium and has a decent carbonation running about my mouth and tongue to tell me there’s a decent sessionability about it.
Overall, I say this is a nice Belgian Strong Pale Ale as everything fits nicely for this beer.

From bottle to glass. Complex, rich aroma of roast, dark fruit. Pours brown with red highlights. Limited taupe head. Flavor is sustained dark fruit and chewy yeast, bready malt. Multiple layers of flavor.

Pours clear dark amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, raisin, plums and hint of alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a warm, dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
