Bottle from Honest Brew, as a birthday gift. Deep chocolate brown to black colour with a tan head. Aroma malty chocolate and lots of fruit. Taste roasted bitter to a light dry finish. Full rich body.

Huge, greige-tan head over deep dark brown beer. Deep chocolate & tobacco nose, sweet. Bit of ureum, coffee. Thinnish coffee flavour, bit of chocolate, felt. Disappointing seen the nose. Faraway, if good hops. Thin, watery feel, medium carbonation. Seen the really good nose, the disappointment is really hard to take. And whereever this "super fruity" from the blurb may hide remains a mistery to me. 8/4/6/3/13

(Draught at Foeders, Amsterdam, 23 Feb 2018) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with black coffee, dark chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry. Solid, tasty and well balanced porter. Very nice.

330ml bottle thanks to MonsterMagnet (Euro Local Swap 1/2018). Almost black with a large thick beige-tan head with excellent retention. Aroma has berry fruits, dark fruits, plum, blackcurrant, cherry, grapefruit and some roasted malts. Taste is even fruitier and hoppier than the aroma gives away, lots of berries again, grapefruit, bitterness coming from a mix of citrusy hops and roast malts. Medium body, soft-medium carbonation. Certainly a "super fruity porter" as they claim. I'd even say this is pretty close to being a Black IPA. Very nice whatever style it is.

Draught @ Foeders. Almost black color. Big dense beige head with good retention. Aroma's: roasted, green hops, fresh hops, resinous. Retronasal it's a bit more hopforward with roast and light fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet, roasted, moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Long finish with firm roast, ground coffee, but still quite mild/subtle. Nice!

Bottle @ tasting shared with Caesar. Opaque black color, medium sized beige to light brown colored head. Aroma reminds me of a black IPA. Nice mix between soft roast / dark malts and that fruitiness. Taste malts, soft roast, dark malts, nicely fruity indeed, slightly sweetish citrussy and soft dark malt bitter. Suitable medium body and soft carbonation. Well brewed!

Bottle shared by Benzai. Dark color, medium frothy head. Aroma of blackcurrant, bit pine, dark malts. Almost like a black IPA. Soft bitterness, fruity, bit roast. Decent.
