Pöyhittiin reseptivihkoa; kilo sinne, minuutti tänne ja litra tuonne. Celsiuksiakin räplättiin.
Nostettiin framille Suomessa vähemmän tunnettu, uusinta (IPA)trendiä edustava east coast IPA. Tämä Vermontin osavaltiosta lähtöisin oleva moderni tyylilaji on hedelmämehuisen samea, pehmoinen ja raikas.
Maineemme vaalimiseksi lisäsimme toki katkeropotkun, jotta luulot pysyy poissa.
Emme ole kallellaan Tiibetin ylängölle päin eikä olut ole jakinmaitoa.
Mitä tekemistä Vermontilla ja Himalajalla sitten on keskenään? Ei kait mitään mutta jos puretaan sanaa vähän:
Vermont tarkoittaa vihreää vuorta. Kierossa mielissä tietenkin humalan peittämä vuori? Thus -> Humalaja.
Ei me muutakaan keksitty. "Muutenkin v*****i".

Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Clear golden with a white head. Tha aroma is sweet, malty, hoppy and fruity. The taste is sweet and bitter.

Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and moderate hoppy - citrus and flowers. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 080724

Bottled@Gustav Wasa, Vaasa. Amber colour, mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some wooden and mild toffeeish notes with mild tropical fruits. Flavour is fruity, floral, some nectar and mild wood as well as some slight herbal and bitter notes.

A bottle traded with jappp. Cheers. Aroma has sweet stone fruit, resin and pine. Underlying malts. Opaque yet hazy amber. Thick frothy white head. Light-medium bitterness. Resin and pine. Spice. Some sweet stone fruit appears into the finish. As I drink more the focus is on the bitterness but it never quite kicks in. Light bodied. Thin and as per the sour from Sonnisaari I just rated it is again lifted by the pleasant soft-fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. A tad astringent. A perfectly pleasant IPA but it's just comes across as restrained, muted. It reminds me of a curry where the chef has been afraid to add to much spice. Based on the looks of fear on my cousins' faces when I suggested a visit to the Oulu curry house it's perhaps a fitting analogy.

Amber, hazy with a large frothy white head. Hops and amber aroma.

Bottle, courtesy of japppp, many thanks. Amber colored beer with medium off-white head. Nice fresh citrus hoppy aroma. Taste, solid malty base followed by nice portion of citrus hops with oranges, tropical fruity, zest, pines. Very light caramel in background. Medium long hoppy bitter finish. Nice.

Bottled, at TEJA tasting. Almost clear golden, mid sized head. Tangerine aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Tangerine and grapefruit. Really bitter finish.

Bottle [from Euro Swap 2019-1 thanks to Rosenbergh] at home. A bit hazy orangy color, full sized white to off-white head. Aroma is floral and grassy hoppy. Flavor is malts, floral a bit, bitter, slightly dry. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Quite ok.
