Orange-colored Trappist beer from Italy, with a pleasant balance in malty, spicy and fruity flavors. The orange peel gives an extra fruity and bitter character. Slightly sweet in taste with a fairly dry, fairly bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Beautiful Beers. Pours cloudy dark gold with a tight, creamy, off-white head. Medium sweet flavour with lots of toasted grains, burnt candi sugar, light yeast, orange peel, hay. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with more toasted grains, bready malts, well toasted sugars, earth, leaves, rind, straw, mild yeast expression. Thereโs plenty going on and it comes together alright.
