Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is roasted malt with strong Port barrel, chocolate, vinous red fruits, grapes, oak, some notes of coffee. Flavour is mildly tart and a bit sweet with a fairly dry finish. Body is medium. Decent, but blunt barrel aging, lacks some smoothness and balance.

8 4 8 3 17Draft at Poesiat & Kater Stoutfest, Amsterdam. Black with a thick beige head. Aroma of rich cocoa, cocoa powder, coffee, vanilla, woody notes and caramel with a touch of port. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ In De Wildeman. Black color. Very dense beige head with long retention and lacing. Aroma's: sweetish, roasted, coffee, umami, wood, light port. Retronasal: sweetish, roast, vinous, wood. Flavor is somewhat vinous sour, roasted, very woody, dark chocolate. Almost full bodied. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Finishes roasty, moderate bitter. Not quite what I expected.

Bottle shared at the homestead. Black with thin tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, ashy, massive red wine, grapes, oak, rotten wood, deep dark grapemost, tannins, hint of vanilla. Dry woody and rich wine fruity. Like licking a burnt wine barrel 👅. Quite sweet and bitter, light sour touch. Full body and soft carbonation. Oily smooth feel. Different than expected and not very much bloedbroeder left. I do like what I get though.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Almost black with short lasting beige head. Lots of dry red wine notes, wood, soft vanilla, milk chocolate, dry tannins, soft grassy, some port, old dry French oak. Medium sweet, bit over medium bitter and light tart. Over medium bodied with dry tannic finish. Massive barrel here, not to be confused with the port infused version for sure. Not too good though.
