Hand-pulled pint at the Crown Inn, Oakengates on 19th October 2023. Clean amber body, off-white crown, pump-clip said single hopped with Columbus hops (not Centennial) and it did have an earthy, resinous and slightly peppery feel to it. Anyway it was a very pleasant bitter all round, don't come across many new ones (too me) these days.

Cask at Seven Stars, Derby (not listed in RateBeer). Pours a bright burnished copper with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is not overstrong, but is a curious mixture of nuts and ice cream. In the mouth it starts off malty with a caramel base, but in due course old school hops come through, along with marmalade. A hint of almonds too. Finish is dry. A nice old style beer – simplicity well done.
