Can in the garden, with Barbara and Mariska, 26th May 2023. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and cocoa. Taste is roasted malts, pine and citrus, cocoa and chocolate. Full flavoured and tasty BIPA.

[33cl can from Beer52’s Siren 10th anniversary box.] A murky dark chestnut brown pour with a ring of white head; resinous pine aroma that clears the sinuses; sharp bitter woody taste from the off, followed by some charred grains; then a clean dry and deeply bitter finish. This is a bit of a shock to the tastebuds, and very close to the point of being over roasted. Not a beer for the faint hearted.
