Inviting smell of dried fruits and earthy malts, mid-sweet. Rather sweet taste of caramel, prunes, and earthy malts. Ends sweet with caramel and dried fruits lingering on. Yuletide feel. Bottle, 75cl. It’s a clear lightly reddish copper colored beer with a small, dense beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is on the malty side, bready, toffee-ish and lightly boozy, with a touch of dark dried fruit and alcohol. Some generic fruityness too. It’s full-bodied and warming, with a nice carbonation level. Bready notes, toffee, generic fruityness, some pine cones and a grassy hint, alcohol and some dark dried fruit in the flavor. Lasting finish with a pleasant bland of hops, malts and alcohol. Nice indeed. 231125

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Deep ruby colour, moderate off-white head. Malty aroma, notes of caramel and toast. Pleasant malty flavour, some sweetness as expected, but not too much. Notes of caramel and brown bread, hints of dark dried fruits and mild spices.
