Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester as part of their Wylam Tap Takeover. Oh so dark brown and opaque with a ring of tan head and intermittent lacing. Sweet milky aroma with coffee beans notes. The taste is sweet and laden with coffee. Sour lactic notes on the finish with fruit chocolate and more coffee. Creamy full body. Nothing short of incredible.

Fra flaske under RBGNG dag 2 - 3 Mar 18. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Aroma av hasselnøtt. Smaken det samme. I søtligste laget - og litt tungdrikkelig.

Bottle. An oily, unclear dark brown pour produces a small, dark beige on top. Rather nutty aroma, too nutty I think, with coffee, dark sugars, dark chocolate and notes of dark bread crust. It's rather oily in the mouth too, mostly on the sweet side, and even though the carbonation level is fine, more carbonation would be needed to help removing the oil and sugar from the roof of the mouth. Full body. Quite nutty flavor too, with a good dash of coffee, some dark sugar and bread. Chocolate too, especially in the finish. Except that I find it too nutty, hazelnuts that is, it's a quite nice one. 180303

Taste is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, weeds, hay, toast, roasted hazelnut, minerals, lactose, dark malts, grass, vanilla, chocolate. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and harsh roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Keg @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Black with a creamy off-white head. It's dense tasting with its coffee, but very nutty too.
