Bottle at home in London. Pours black-brown with a large, creamy beige head. Lots of minerals and dark malts in the nose, with subtle roast and tang. Light to medium sweet flavor, notes of tobacco, burnt baking cocoa, peat, scorched earth, minerals and dirt. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Some lightly sweet, roasted malts in the finish, burned wood bitterness, burnt grass, earth, faint cocoa. A pretty dynamic porter that drinks very smoothly for its ABV. Not bad.

Clear maltiness in the aroma but also some hops come through too. Flavour is warming roasted malts and a hint of sweetened coffee. Bitter and sweet. Easy to drink, not too heavy.

33cl bottle. Poured a black beer with a creamy good lacing and excellent lasting brown head. Aroma is to toasted malts, roasted, smoked. Flavour is smoky, toasty, roasty, oakness and moderate black coffee. The final is moderate bittery and long. Carbonation is soft to medium. Texture is oily to creamy. Body is medium to high.
