330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of maple syrup, toffee, dark caramel. Taste is roasty, dark malty, notes of maple syrup, dark caramel, some coffee, toffee, whiffs of liquorice, low residual sweetness, some hop bitterness.
Slightly creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Well controlled sweetness, not overly complex - OK.

Malty bitter. Roasted, with caramel. Very dry, bitter with hints of roasted caramel. Mild, dry sugar, malty. Nice.

A black beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of sweet dark chocolate malt, caramel, vanilla. Taste of sweet dark chocolate malt, coffee, some maple syrup.

Eher wenig süßer Beginn, leicht röstig malzig. Süffig, milde Herbe, Nuancen von Kakao. Die Süße steigt leicht an, der Ahornsirup ist ein wenig erkennbar. Würzig, süffig, langer Abgang, stimmig. 8/11/10/10/8/10

Bottle. Hazy ruby brown, low brown head. Intense sweet, roast, iodine. Medium body, caramel roast, sticky toffee pudding, seaweed, dry roast dark chocolate finish.

Huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice small head. Fine dark brown color. Fine roasty malty aroma. Starts intense malty, not too roasty, earthy notes, some chocolate, some wood. Mild bitterness. Finish well balanced. Warming finish. Nice!

0,33 l bottle from the source. Black in the glass, small beige head. Roasted malty aroma but also some sweet alcoholic. Taste starts dry roasted malty, bready, alcoholic, coughdrops, barrel wood. Mid bitterness, hints of pepper. Needs to warm up and gets more smooth. Low carbonated. Long lasting aftertaste with some dry bitterness.
