One of my least favourite German beer styles, this is boring enough to be pretty accurate

Crowler from DogTap, Ellon. It pours clear oily amber with a small, fluffy white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, sappy, oily, resinous, toffee, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake and wood. The taste is firmly dry, snap of bitterness, toasty grain, wood, resin, nutty, crisp biscuit, grass, peppery spice, brown bread and dull alcohol presence with a dry, woody finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Pleasingly bitter, which makes this pretty satisfying to drink by the pint.
