A raw perry, unfiltered and full of boisterous character. Gooseberry and rhubarb battle aromatically with some reduction to give a full flavoured perry with gooseberry citrus and viscous pear residual sweetness with a full bodied mouthfeel and dusty tannins.

75cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - lightly hazed golden and pretty flat. Massive chunks of pear and yeast flavour bites at the bottom of the bottle. Nose - pear and pear drop, apple skins and wood. Taste - sweet and tangy pear, apple and generally woody. Palate - medium bodied, fairly flat carbonation with a dry finish. Overall - pleasant.

Panda at home thanks to Ed Danlo. A light hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a small white fizz. Some yeasty chunks. Aroma is semi sweet, fizzy pear, pineapple, straw, juicy,Flavour is composed of tart, drying pithy fruit, pear skin, pineapple, fizzy pears, drying finish. Palate is tart, pithy, bitty, fine carbonation, drying finish. Not a huge fan. Not a huge amount of whiskey character.

Panda at home, thanks to the Ed Danlo, 19/11/23. Moderately hazed yellow golden with thin just off white spotting. Nose is pear drop, herb, hedgerow, light funk, modest whisky kiss. Taste comprises tangy pear, vinous, hedgerow, orchard wood, light sugars, modest barrel notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid flavoursome perry.

750ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. Hazed golden colour, no head and aroma of perry pear, woody whiskey cask. Taste is tangy, tart, perry pear, citric, with gooseberry, rhubarb, woody oak notes and mouth coating tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
